A gorgeous, eye-catching announcement board. On us.
We design it, print it, and set it up in your space — a custom board for your specials, events, and announcements, at zero cost to you. Then we hand you the pens, so it's yours to update whenever you want.
Here's an actual Hometown Board.
A clean, professionally printed sign that looks like it belongs in your space — not a taped-up flyer or a shared community bulletin board.
The part hosts don't expect
The advertising along the bottom is what lets us offer the board to you for free. It also means a quick snapshot of today's board doubles as content for your own social media — the kind that gets neighbors curious enough to stop in — while helping a handful of small businesses in your area get seen too.
A nicer sign, zero cost, zero upkeep.
You get a real, professionally made board for your specials and events — the kind you'd otherwise pay to have designed and printed — without paying for it, maintaining it, or thinking about it again.
Three steps. No catch.
We build it
Hometown Board designs, prints, and sets up a custom board in your space — sized and placed to actually look like it belongs there. No cost, no work on your end.
You make it yours
The top is chalkboard-style paint with a set of erasable paint pens included. Write up today's specials, an event, or a shoutout — wipe it clean and do it again tomorrow, or leave it up for a month.
We keep it funded
We cover the cost of designing and building your board up front, then bring on six local businesses to advertise along the bottom — that's what pays it back. You're never billed, now or later.
One number. Still no surprises.
Your commitment is one year. After that, you can keep hosting it year after year, as long as we're able to keep advertisers on the board.
renews as long as we have advertisers
- A custom board, designed and printed for your space — not a generic template
- Delivered and set up in your space, scheduled around you
- A set of paint pens so you can update specials, events, or shoutouts whenever you like
- Your only commitment: keep it visible for the year, so the advertisers who make it free are getting the exposure they paid for
We only place boards in a handful of busy local spots per neighborhood — get on the list early.
Everything you're probably wondering
No — the board is lent to you, branded with your business, for one year. As long as we're both happy and we're able to keep advertisers on it, we'll gladly continue it for another year. If that ever changes, we'll pick it up and move it to a new home.
Yes — the board, the design, the printing, and the setup don't cost you anything, now or later. We cover it by selling six small ad spots along the bottom of the board to local businesses. You're never billed for any of it.
Genuinely none. We make our money from the six advertisers, not from you. In exchange, we just ask that the board stays up in a visible spot for the year and that you let us know if it ever needs attention.
Not at all — it's entirely up to you. Some hosts update theirs daily with specials, others use it for a weekly rotation or the occasional event. However often you use it, it's yours to write on.
Yes. Let us know if there's a business or competitor you'd rather not have on your board, and we'll do our best to honor that. We'll also always tell you who's on it before it goes up.
Tell us and we'll talk it through — including moving it out early if that's what makes sense. We'll ask what wasn't working so we can do better with the next placement.
A short host agreement, yes — it confirms the board is lent to you at no cost, that it stays visible for the year, and what happens if you sell the business. We'll walk you through it before anything is set up in your space.
Busy, locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, gyms, laundromats, and other spots with steady daily foot traffic — especially ones that like to rotate specials or promote events and want an easy way to do it.
Just like everything else in your business, the board and its agreement carry over to the new owner for whatever's left of the term — it's part of the business they're taking on. Just let us know about the sale so we can update our records.
